Well, it seems like BLACKPINK knows all about their global fanbase and will do anything to interact with them.
On April 26 (local time), BLACKPINK performed their first show in Mexico for the BORN PINK tour. As expected, while fans worldwide couldn’t watch the show in person, those attending the show weren’t afraid to showcase some of the most iconic moments from the concert.
In particular, one moment that has gone viral includes Jennie and her dedication to speaking with fans in their native language. The members travel the world, and while they usually have translators, it isn’t uncommon for idols to try and learn some phrases.
A fan shared a video of the four members on stage, and at one moment, the group was huddled around Jennie, who was holding a phone.

While Jennie has jokingly scolded fans in the past for being on their phones, it seems like the idol had it for a good reason. After intently looking down at her phone, she spoke to the crowds in Spanish.

The crowds seemed to love Jennie’s efforts because they erupted into cheers as soon as she finished.

When the clip was released, netizens couldn’t get over Jennie’s actions and how she went to any lengths to chat with the fans rather than relying on the translator. Many also joked about how the members also looked intently at the phone as if trying to see what Jennie was going to do.
As always, BLACKPINK always does its utmost to be able to communicate with fans, and Jennie found the most obvious method so that she could relay a message to fans by herself without any help.
