Erling Haaland has been a goal machine at Manchester City since his arrival last summer and is having huge success off it.
The superstar striker, who’s breaking football records left, right and centre, is earning millions in a series of sponsorships and investments and is sixth in Forbes’ football rich list.
Haaland has recently signed a new ten-year contract with Nike, which could be set to earn him around £20million a year. That’s just shy of Neymar’s staggering £23m Puma deal. American sportwear giants Nike were able to beat rivals adidas and Puma to his signature, having previously worked him with him until January 2022.
With City, the Daily Mail reported in October that Haaland earns around £375,000-a-week. But as a result of bonuses performances included in his contract, this sum rises to around £865,000-a-week.
Swiss watchmakers Breitling were able to get Haaland on board as one of their ambassadors last year.
The 22-year-old, who GQ revealed is a ‘big fan’ of the company, is said to have been paid £1million as part of the deal.
Alongside his pay and ambassador work, Haaland has equity in sports recovery brand Hyperice. The company’s most well-known product is the NormaTec, which massages people through the use of dynamic compressed air.
Hyperice are said to be worth around £564million, with Haaland being a keen user of their products.
The Norwegian is also partnered with the streaming service Viaplay, who made a documentary on his move to City called ‘Haaland – The Big Decision’.
Back on the pitch, Haaland has now scored 44 goals for City following his double against Southampton. His efforts in the 4-1 win have seen him go level with Mohamed Salah and Ruud van Nistelrooy for the most goals scored for a Premier League club in all competitions.
