At the urging of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand,  Angelina Jolie  tried to start modeling at the age of 14. But unfortunately, at that age, Angelina had to endure unpleasant experiences.

In 1998, while appearing in the HBO series Gia as the female lead Gia Carangi – an expensive model in the late 70s and later died of AIDS at the age of 26, Angelina was only 23 then. Age told The New York Times that her negative experiences with modeling tied her to the character.

“I tried modeling when I was 14 and failed miserably… Like Gia, I was a bit spoiled… I was told I had to change everything. I had to lose weight, and I got thinner. With my bathing suit on, I was put in a room and they measured every part of me. I feel terrible,” she said.

Angelina Jolie ‘s godmother   is British actress Jacqueline Bisset. However, the 71-year-old actress said that she is not close to Angelina Jolie.

On a recent TV show, she said, “Unfortunately, I didn’t have a close relationship with Angelina. I rarely see her, but I adore her. I find it difficult because now she has become famous. So many people are dragging its time. I’m a little shy and I don’t want to take advantage of her. Sometimes people say to me, ‘Oh, you know Angelina Jolie,’ and I say, ‘No, she needs her own space and she needs to do her thing’.

After giving birth to baby Shiloh in 2006,  Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt  sold the first photos of her to  People  for $4.1 million. All of this money is donated by the couple to charities. Two years later, when  twins Vivienne and Knox  were born, photos of the twins sold for a record-breaking $11 million. These are the most expensive baby photos ever purchased. And again, this money is  given to charity by the Jolie-Pitt couple .

After the famous actress shared the details of her mastectomy in May 2013 in the New York Times, testing for the  BRCA gene  has increased dramatically. Dubbed the ‘Angelina effect’ – this increase has been studied by Breast Cancer Research and shows that in the UK alone in June and July 2013 the rate of increase was almost 2.5 times and continues doubled in October of the same year. The same study also showed that the need for BRCA testing doubled after Angelina’s article.
