A mother who gave birth to quadruplets in July has wowed Instagram with eye-opening images taken before and after their arrival.
Influencer and mom-of-five Lindsay Hay, 28, from New Jersey, gave birth to the quadruplets in July 2019, however last month she shared the side-by-side images with her 222,000 Instagram followers to show just how much her life has changed since then.
In the first photo, a mirror selfie, Lindsay is seen showing off her enormous baby bump at 30 weeks and 4 days pregnant, while the second shows her holding all four of her babies – who are 30 weeks and 4 days old in the snap.
In the caption, Lindsay, who is married to an Australian, Syman, celebrated her ‘in and out day’, while opening up about how becoming a mother to the quadruplets has changed her life, both physically and mentally.
‘I carried these sweet babies for 30 weeks and 4 days on the inside and here they are at 30 weeks and 4 days on the outside!’ she wrote.
‘Full hands, full heart is an understatement! They have surpassed every hope and dream I had envisioned during my pregnancy and even though time is passing quickly I know the best is yet to be.’
And while her body changed as a result of the pregnancy, Lindsay says that the experience also taught her a great deal about the ‘strength’ that she never knew she possessed.
‘Behind these babies are new marks, rolls, and skin you can’t see but they also came with new strengths I didn’t have before either,’ she shared.
‘We have been so BLESSED and I won’t ever let myself take this life for granted.’
It is not the first time that Lindsay has shown off her enormous bump; throughout her pregnancy, she regularly documented her growing tum, sharing updates with her followers about how she was handling her changing body.
While sharing images of her baby bump at 23 weeks, Lindsay shared that she had gained 35lbs and admitted that she was struggling with her stretch marks and the loss of her ‘perfect’ stomach.
However, she said that she was trying to embrace her feelings of excitement, after struggling with fertility.
‘Spoiler alert: I have a stretch mark,’ she wrote. ‘Actually make that three.
‘While I know what my body is doing is incredible, I’m not ready for the sentimental comments just yet. I am having a vain moment and grieving my “perfect” stomach, ok?
‘There was a time hubby and me wondered if I’d ever have a pregnant bump again though so I truly am grateful and embracing it, but sometimes it’s hard and I’m just keeping it real.’
At 26 weeks, she then revealed that she had gained 49lbs during her pregnancy, explaining that she was the equivalent of ‘fifty weeks’ pregnant, while joking that her stomach was covered with ‘500 stretch marks’.

‘At this point my body seems to be handling the pregnancy well aside from the 500 stretch marks that have appeared out of no where and increased pelvic pressure,’ she wrote.
‘There’s also the modest 49 pounds I’ve already gained or the fact that at 26+5 I’m measuring FIFTY WEEKS.’
After the quadruplets were born on July 23, Lindsay revealed that they had all been delivered via C-section, sharing on Instagram that the procedure ‘went perfectly’, before revealing that the preemie babies all weighed between 3 pounds and 1 ounce and 3 pounds and 12 ounces.
‘The birth was seriously the most incredible experience of my life and I was on the biggest adrenaline high imaginable,’ she wrote.
‘The C section went perfectly and we even had a clear drape so that once the handy work of the doctors was over we were able to watch the babies being pulled out and delivered.
‘They all came out kicking and screaming and breathing on their own, and their cries alone made it all worth it.’
While the babies had to be kept in the NICU in the months after their birth, Lindsay revealed that she and Syman were able to bring daughter Madison and Caiden home on September 7, while Lucas and Grayson joined them two days later.
