There are several benefits to living in and owning a log home. Log homes have been around for a very long time. There are log cabins that are still standing that date back over 800 years. Living in a log cabin invokes a sense of calmness, peace, and solitude that helps you escape, if only for a few moments. Another benefit of log homes is that trees are a renewable resource. As trees are renewable, log homes start green. Other building materials which require significant processing can be harmful to the environment. On top of that, they are significantly easier to build and require fewer building materials than a conventional home.
