His name is being mentioned again now that Galtier is under fire

Following Paris Saint-Germain‘s exit from the Champions League on Wednesday night, the inquest has begun and Christophe Galtier is under fire.
The coach only arrived last summer and has been doing well in Ligue 1, but the Champions League has long been PSG‘s primary objective and this latest failure could see the coach pushed out of the Parc des Princes at the end of this summer.
If he is, PSG would need to find a new top-level manager, which could be Zinedine Zidane.
The dream appointment for fans and directors alike would be Zidane. He has been linked with the PSG job in the past, but this time it could be more likely.
For the moment, though, what Zidane thinks and whether he would agree to take the plunge this time is an unknown quantity.
The reason why Zidane could become PSG boss
The main reason for optimism for PSG fans is the fact that Zidane had been waiting for the French national team job to open up, but Didier Deschamps has just renewed his contract until 2026.
That rules out one of Zidane‘s possible routes back into coaching, while he is also unlikely to return to Real Madrid right now, even though the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu will always remain his home.
In Italy he has the option of Juventus, but this isn’t the most ideal time to take over in Turin.
Then, the idea of Zidane going to England or Germany is unrealistic because of the language barrier.
This all makes PSG a more attractive option to the 50-year-old. Even if he was born in Marseille, that isn’t thought to be an obstacle.
“You should never say never,” he said in an interview with L’Equipe.
Zidane also has an existing relationship with the country of the PSG owners, for a few different reasons. He supported their World Cup bid and was an ambassador for the competition.
