Be prepared for an isolated getaway with breathtaking views of the Uintas that are nothing short of spectacular. The log home is available year-round for a gorgeous snowy escape to a lush green summer retreat. Each season offers its own unique experience and The Hideaway has all the amenities you’ll need for a comfortable and relaxing stay during any month, including plenty of blankets, a fireplace (for winter seasonal use only), and a heating/cooling system.
The Hideaway was built in 1976 and fully remodeled in 2021. The owners made it a top priority to preserve the original structure and materials so that you could see The Hideaway’s gorgeous history both on the interior and exterior. It now boasts a full wrap-around kitchen with a fridge/freezer, stove, oven, microwave, and essential cookware/utensils necessary for dining in, including an electric water heater and automatic coffee maker. The log home also has a new half bath upstairs and a modernized full bath with a standing shower on the main level. The log home also has fun additions including a fully suspended hammock floor, swing chair, and floor-to-ceiling glass wall because this loft was designed to bliss out.
During your vacation stay you can spend time unwinding with the living room TV, Chromecast to stream your Netflix/Hulu/HBO accounts, and go nostalgic with various favorite childhood games and books, or work remotely thanks to WiFi. The private front deck is all yours to watch the sunrise over the Uintas and stars at night or get in a quick exercise session using the included yoga mats and foam roller. The owners hope resident Marvin the Moose makes an appearance for you. This magnificent cabin building is situated on two acres of mature aspens and pines. It is located just up the lane from The Treehouse Utah and the chalet, where the owners live and work full-time with their circus of critters. Guests have full and private access to The Hideaway and its property.
You will want to note that as the roads are unpaved, a combination of dirt, mud, gravel, ice, and/or snow-packed and not always plowed. A 4 by 4 or AWD vehicle with clearance is required for year-round access. Chains are mandatory during the winter and mud seasons (November through May). Proof of chains on your vehicle will be required before check-in. The vacation property does not refund for inability to access or if they deny guest entry at any time due to insufficient equipment.
