Bizarre footage has captured the moment a snake writhes in pain after attempting to eat a porcupine.
The boa constrictor appeared to have tried to devour the animal, but was unprepared for a counter attack.
In the clip, the snake squirms on the dusty ground as hundreds of spikes are clearly visible poking into its skin.

A dog nearby barks constantly, clearly confused by the strange appearance of the reptile.
It is believed that the snake tried to eat the porcupine, causing the animal to retaliate and attack with its quills.
The snake even appears to have spines inside its mouth, which it cannot close in the footage.
Footage of the snake appears to have been recorded in Brazil by a man who stands there for almost two minutes with his camera trained on the wounded reptile.
The footage has now been uploaded to LiveLeak.com where viewers were largely sympathetic towards the snake.
One wrote: “Bad day for the snake. Put it out of its misery. Looks painful.”
Another added: “Help the poor thing out.”
