Apart from crafting their next big baddie in the form of Kang for the ambitious Multiverse Saga, it seems that MCU is set to mark the return of another huge villain from the Infinity Saga. Ever since the Earth’s mightiest heroes defeated James Spader’s Ultron in Avengers: Age of Ultron, several rumors have been speculating about the character’s return to the MCU.
And following a new rumor, it appears that Marvel might finally bring back James Spader’s Ultron in the upcoming Spin-off in $3.4 billion worth Iron Man franchise’s spinoff in the upcoming future.

James Spader as UltronJames Spader’s Ultron reportedly returning in MCU’s Armor Wars
Following the reports from a trusted source, it seems that James Spader’s Ultron is set to return in the upcoming MCU project, Armor Wars. The upcoming feature-length film, which was initially set to be a Disney Plus show, will star Don Cheadle’s War Machine at its forefront.
And considering that a previous rumor hinted that the rogue AI wasn’t fully destroyed at the end of Avengers: Age of Ultron, it’s reasonable to assume his return in MCU’s future. But bearing in mind that there have been little to no updates in the movie’s present state, it’s still a little far-fetched to assume Ultron is the main villain for the movie.

Avengers: Age of UltronDon Cheadle’s War Machine can be the perfect successor to Tony Stark’s Iron Man in Armor Wars
Apart from Dominique Thorne’s Ironheart, who made her MCU debut in the Black Panther sequel, the upcoming Armor Wars can too provide the perfect successor to Robert Downey Jr’s Tony Stark. Don Cheadle, who is set to reprise the role of War Machine in the MCU, will be getting his spotlight to shine in the upcoming Armor Wars and holds the perfect opportunity to fill Iron Man’s boot in the MCU.
And considering that his character has been attached to the MCU since its very beginning and his friendship with Tony Stark, it is reasonable for him to carry Stark’s legacy forward.

But considering that there hasn’t been much information released about the upcoming project, the speculation of the return of James Spader’s Ultron doesn’t hold much weight behind it. But considering that the project will be heavily inclined toward Iron Man’s technology, it’s reasonable to assume that this can be the perfect shot to mark the villain’s return to the MCU.
No release date for Armor Wars has been made official.
