Ashley Graham on breastfeeding twins: ‘It’s a lot of work! I won’t do it’
Ashley Graham is one of the most famous models and public figures. After becoming the first ever plus-size model, she made it her mission to spread the message of body positivity. And since Graham keeps it real in every aspect of her life, she’s also made no secret of her entire pregnancy, showing what being a mom really takes.
Ashley Graham is the mother of a boy and a pair of twins. She is emphatic in her message that every mother has the right to choose whether breastfeeding is right for her, regardless of society’s expectations.
In a recent interview, Graham was candid about the aftermath of pregnancy that every woman goes through but doesn’t share. The model said she also considered keeping some things to herself. For example, “how your body changes when you’re pregnant, and the stretch marks and the loose skin, the formula, the breastfeeding,” she shares. Graham also adds the factor of how people tell you to feed your child.
Ashley also shared about her experience with breastfeeding: “With my first child, I was like, ‘I can only breastfeed! This is the right way!”
“Then I had the twins, and I was like, ‘I’m not going to do that. This isn’t working. Do you want both? It’s a lot of work. So, I stopped breastfeeding when they were 5 months old and gave them the best formula I could. I was able to find… And these little guys are so strong and so happy,” says Graham.
