New footage taken by a supporter in the Old Trafford stands and shared on Twitter shows Casemiro approaching the Ghana international and shoving him, leading to players from both teams getting involved in the fracas.

Following the game Ten Hag questioned why only the Brazilian had been reprimanded for his role in the incident.
‘I see two teams fighting each other,’ said the United manager. ‘I see two teams where several players crossed the line, and then one player is picked out and gets sent off. For me, that’s not right.
‘When Casemiro is sent off for this incident, many more players should have been sent off. You have to be consistent.’
Asked if Ayew should have been one of them, Ten Hag replied: ‘Definitely. He did even worse than Casemiro. Casemiro, you freeze the shot and he crossed the line. Ayew definitely. You have to be consistent with VAR.
