Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new deal with Arsenal in a huge boost for the Premier League leaders.
The Brazilian has agreed a new four-and-a-half year deal to keep him at the Emirates until the summer of 2027.
The winger’s previous deal was due to expire at the end of next season, though the club did have an option to extend that for a further two years.
Martinelli has been an integral part of Mikel Arteta’s title-chasing team this season.
And he is one of several young stars whose future the club are keen to secure.

Centre back William Saliba and winger Bukayo Saka are both in talks about new and improved contracts, too.
Martinelli has scored seven goals in 19 Premier League appearances this season and has 25 in 111 matches in all competitions since joining from Brazilian side Ituano in July 2019.
Martinelli’s new deal comes at a good time for the Brazilian as healthy competition looks to be on the rise at the Emirates.
Lead striker and Brazilian compatriot Gabriel Jesus will be looking for a return from injury in the next few weeks following his positive start to the season.
His replacement Eddie Nketiah has scored seven goals in his last eight matches for the Gunners.
Meanwhile, Folarin Balogun is also impressing on loan at Stade de Reims having scored 15 goals in just 21 matches this term.
His 20-minute hat-trick on Wednesday, as Reims came from 2-0 down to beat Lorient, took Balogun’s tally to 14 in Ligue 1.
Across the top five leagues in Europe, only Erling Haaland and Harry Kane have more.
The 21-year-old’s goals have seen him climb way above Kylian Mbappe, Neymar and Lionel Messi to the summit of France’s scoring charts.
Martinelli has been a key part of Arsenal’s side this season as they lead the Premier League.
