Asns are used to unusual wildlife encounters, such as the recent attempt by a snake to consume a bat in Brisbane. Tony Morrison, Redland’s Snake Catcher, captured a large carpet python pulling a bat up a tree.
The python appeared to struggle with its meal, even though the bat had long since ᴘᴀssᴇᴅ ᴀᴡᴀʏ. The python tried to consume the bat head first while its body was still wrapped around the deceased animal.
The python, however, struggled to get its head around the bat due to its pointed wings and sharp talons. Mr. Morrison claimed in an interview with Daily Mail Aᴜsᴛʀᴀʟɪᴀ that the python eventually gave up on its meal.According to Mr. Morrison, the snake spent a half-hour trying to get past the wings before giving up and dropping the bat to the ground. Mr. Morrison relocated the snake to a safe location while claiming that carpet pythons are prevalent in the area and do not pose a ᴛʜʀᴇᴀᴛ to people.
Because it was at a place where children would cross to go to school, they eventually moved the snake down the road and into some bushland. The snake bit off more than it could chew, and the consequence was not good for both animals.
