There’s no doubt that Tom Hardy has been hailed by all as the Marvel supervillain Eddie Brock, aka, Venom. From his gritty performance to his bulky build that enhanced his character, the English actor delivered a striking depiction of the feisty alien symbiote.

Sadly enough, Hardy’s acting was also the only good part about the movies; it’s no secret that Venom and its 2021 sequel in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe were met with negative critical reception and a torrent of complaints from fans. So, as Marvel braces for the release of its new action-adventure video game, Spider-Man 2, fans want the studio to fulfill their vehement longing that it failed to in Hardy’s films – to deliver a Venom so terrifyingly wicked that it leaves an indelible imprint on them.
Spider-Man 2 (2023) – Marvel Fans Want An Invincibly Evil VenomA look at Venom in Spider-Man 2
Developed by Insomniac Games in collaboration with Marvel Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment, Spider-Man 2 is the latest installation in the critically acclaimed Spider-Man franchise. Based on the eponymous superhero from Marvel comics, the forthcoming video game is set to feature Peter Parker (Yuri Lowenthal) and Miles Morales (Nadji Jeter) as they trot across the streets of New York City to fight their adversaries.
With Tony Todd’s Venom confirmed to make a villainous appearance in the much-anticipated PS5 game, fans are thrilled, to say the least. But they’re hoping for much more than just snarky remarks and vicious fights. No, what the audience wants to see is a version of Venom so harrowing and unbeatable, that both the Spideys would cower with fear in front of the sentient symbiote.
A Twitter user even went on to say that Venom should be so “haunting to the core” that “Peter [Parker] Peter is intimidated by [him] and that Miles [Morales] is left terror-stricken.” Looks like Marvel fans have a rather vivid penchant for dark storylines.
Here’s what others have to say in light of the same –
Directed by Bryan Intihar and Ryan Smith, Spider-Man 2 is the third entry in the beloved Marvel’s Spider-Man series and serves as a sequel to the 2018 video game of the same name along with Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales (2020). The upcoming game will be a single-player adventure with players able to navigate the crime-stained streets of NYC as either Peter Parker or Miles Morales.
Miles Morales and Peter Parker in Spider-Man 2Besides the two superheroes and Todd’s Venom, no other characters have been divulged concerning Spider-Man 2. The presence of Peter’s love interest, Mary Jane, Miles’ uncle and former antagonist Prowler, along with the likes of the sinister Green Goblin and Yuri Watanabe, an old friend of the web-slinger have been rumored to return to the video game.
