The Avengers squad of the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become a famous superhero group, very popular in Hollywood today. With decades of development history, each character of the Avengers leaves a unique impression on the audience.
However, what if the Avengers no longer exist or are absent?
1. Kevin Feige Says There Are No Avengers Groups In The MCU Right Now
At Expo D23, Kevin Feige – Executive Producer of Marvel Studios explained the current situation in the MCU regarding Avengers to fans.
Kevin Feige said: “Captain America (Sam Wilson’s version) will be about a world without Avengers. Sam will become Captain America in the absence of the Avengers organization”.
So what does this mean and what would the situation be if Earth didn’t have this group of superheroes?
2. Thunderbolts will replace Avengers as hero group in MCU
While there are no more Avengers, that doesn’t mean Earth won’t have its own superhero team.
“Even though there’s no Avengers organization, Earth still has a wonderful group of people. Maybe this group isn’t like the Avengers, but there are similar groups and they’re the Thunderbolts,” Feige explained .
Through Kevin Feige’s words, it seems that the Thunderbolts will be the superhero group operating in the MCU universe until now.
3. Anthony Mackie says the Avengers are currently “unemployed”
Still at D23 Expo 2022, Anthony Mackie – the actor who plays the character Sam Wilson/Captain America when personally interviewed by Variety revealed more about the status of the Avengers team and his “status” as Captain America in the MCU.
Mackie said: “All the Avengers are currently unemployed and they have a new group (Thunderbolts) at the moment.”
From the above information, we can say that the movie Avengers: Endgame has really put an end to the Avengers group and the members will all have their “own path”. For example, we have seen the turn of Hawkeye in the movie of the same name, or Hulk in She-Hulk.
