Ja Morant has been suspended by the Memphis Grizzlies after another video emerged of the star guard holding a gun.
The video spread on social media, just two months removed following another incident where Morant was filmed brandishing a gun in a Colorado strip club.
The Grizzlies released a statement commenting on the latest incident.
They said, via Fox Sports: “We are aware of the social media video involving Ja Morant.
“He is suspended from all team activities pending League review. We have no further comment at this time.”
The video came from an Instagram Live on the account ‘_dtap2’ which shows the 23-year-old appearing to hold a gun before the camera quickly cut away.
NBA spokesman Mike Bass said: “We are aware of the social media post involving Ja Morant and are in the process of gathering more information.”
In March 2023, Morant was suspended for eight games after he was filmed flashing a gub in Shotgun Willie’s in Glendale, Colorado.
That video was also leaked through Instagram Live.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver said at the time: “Ja’s conduct was irresponsible, reckless and potentially very dangerous.
“It also has serious consequences given his enormous following and influence, particularly among young fans who look up to him.”
The young player apologised a number of times following hi suspension and underwent cousneling.
He said after serving his ban: “I’m completely sorry for that.
“So, you know, my job now is, like I said, to be more responsible, more smarter, and don’t cause any of that no more.”
He also told ESPN that he needed to be ‘more responsible, more smarter and staying away from all the bad decisions’.
Police did not charge the basketballer for the incident in March and the NBA concluded that the gun did not belong to the player.
The Grizzlies guard is also facing a lawsuit for allegedly punching a 17-year-old boy repeatedly before flashing a gun at him during a pickup basketball game last year.
Back in January, news broke that Morant had struck a teenager 12 to 13 times during a street altercation, which resulted in a lawsuit being filed.
But according to police report documents obtained by the Washington Post, not only did Morant assault the young kid, but the 23-year-old also went inside his house and returned with a gun in his waistband.
The boy told detectives Morant reemerged with his hand on the firearm, before Morant’s father quickly intervened and tried to defuse the situation.
When Morant was questioned about the incident at the scene, police notified him of the boy’s claims about the weapon.
