Chris Hemsworth evokes nostalgia when he comments on an adorable behind-the-scenes image of Thor and Captain America in Avengers: Infinity War.
Chris Hemsworth’s comment on an old Captain America and Thor Avengers: Infinity War image is making the public nostalgic. It has been half a decade since the culmination of the Infinity Saga began with the 2018 blockbuster. Much has happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since then, and yet, Avengers: Infinity War remains to be a massive favorite for fans.
Aside from reposting a behind-the-scenes image with co-star Chris Evans during the production of Avengers: Infinity War, Hemsworth’s caption on the adorable photo is evoking nostalgia for many fans. Check out the Twitter post below:
Giving Cap a classic belly aching Thor joke 😂
Only Mark Ruffalo and the Russo Brothers publicly posted about Avengers: Infinity War‘s fifth anniversary, but that doesn’t mean that other people behind the project didn’t privately celebrate the milestone. Perhaps, this is Hemsworth way of belatedly commemorating the event. Otherwise, he may just be feeling nostalgic about the old MCU.
Can Thor & Captain America Still Team Up In The MCU?
With Marvel Studios’ deep in developing the Multiverse Saga’s Phase 5, the events of Avengers: Infinity War are barely referenced in any of its recent projects. That makes sense, considering the MCU’s attempt to move forward and build another overarching storyline. However, it’s safe to say that the film, alongside Avengers: Endgame, will remain a fan favorite just because of what it means to the universe.
There may not be any concrete indication that Thor and Captain America will team up again in the MCU. Luckily, there are several ways that the franchise can reunite the fellow original Avengers without undoing Steve Rogers’ poignant ending in Avengers: Endgame. Further exploring the multiverse is one of those ways, with Marvel Studios featuring variants of the character. There’s also the possibility of bringing back Old Man Steve Rogers to the Sacred Timeline for one final fight.
The fact that Captain America’s fate remains a big MCU mystery may just be the motivation needed for Marvel Studios to bring back Evans to the franchise. However, that may not be happening anytime soon, considering its efforts to move on from the Infinity Saga. Hopefully, however, if and when he finally reprises his role as Captain America, Hemsworth is still in the MCU for another team-up following Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.
