Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is set to overtake 16 Manchester United players’ salaries when he signs his new Gunners contract. The winger is reportedly set to earn £300,000 a week with his new deal at the Emirates.
Saka’s current contract expires at the end of next season. Arsenal have been desperate to tie him down with a long-term extension and reports in February claimed an agreement had been reached in principle.
The England star has had a superb season, scoring 13 Premier League goals and registering 11 assists. Only Kevin De Bruyne has set up more goals for his team-mates than Saka.
He has been instrumental in Mikel Arteta’s side pushing for their first title in 19 years. And he looks set to be rewarded for his efforts with a bumper new deal.
According to Spotrac, Saka currently earns £70,000 a week at Arsenal following the four-year deal he signed in July 2020. But that looks set to increase significantly.
TalkSPORT says Saka has agreed to a £300,000-a-week contract to make him the highest-paid player at Arsenal. It will quadruple his current salary and the Independent claims an announcement on the deal is set to be made before the final game of this season.
Saka is set to overtake a long list of big-name players in terms of wages earned. That includes 16 players from Erik ten Hag’s United squad.
Mason Greenwood, Tyrell Malacia and Phil Jones all earn £75,000 a week. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is on £90,000, while loanee goalkeeper Dean Henderson earns £100,000.

Donny van de Beek, Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and Fred are all claimed to bring in £120,000 a week, while Christian Eriksen and Luke Shaw are on £150,000 a week. Red Devils club captain Harry Maguire earns just under £190,000, while Marcus Rashford and Antony are on £200,000.
Bruno Fernandes is the next highest-earner on £240,000 a week, with Anthony Martial the 16th United player Saka will overtake on £250,000. Saka’s new deal is set to bring him level with Casemiro’s current wage.
There are only seven players in the Premier League currently earning more than £300,000 a week. United trio Raphael Varane, Jadon Sancho and David de Gea are all north of that figure.
Chelsea star Raheem Sterling is on £325,000 a week, with Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah on £350,000. Erling Haaland earns £375,000, only behind Manchester City team-mate Kevin De Bruyne on £400,000 a week.
