You may know Zendaya from her role as the bubbly Rocky Blue on “Shake It Up,” but in this trailer for Katie Alender’s new supernatural thriller “From Bad to Cursed,” the 14-year-old Disney star shows off her dark side … and it’s scary!
“From Bad to Cursed” is the second book in Alender’s “Bad Girls Don’t Die” series. In the book, sisters Alexis and Kasey Warren discover that the “Sunshine Club” — which consists of popular and pretty girls — is not what it seems. In a behind-the-scenes look, Zendaya reveals what drew her to the book and reveals how they shot the scariest scene from the trailer.
The young actress liked sinking her teeth into the role. “On my show [‘Shake It Up’], I’m kind of upbeat and cheery all the time, but definitely for this I had to bring out my dark side.” Author Katie Alender agreed, “[Zendaya] just came in and got it immediately! Her performance really makes the trailer for me.”
