According to the information available, the dog in the picture is named Cam, 3 months old, and currently living with its owner’s family in Binh Phuoc. The incident occurred at 3am on February 11, while the whole family was sound asleep and suddenly awakened by the weak barking of their three dogs outside the door. Apart from Cam, the family also has two other small dogs as pets.
When the owner opened the door, they saw two of the dogs still barking towards the gate, while Cam was crouching under a car, whimpering and crying non-stop. At that moment, the owner did not understand what was happening, so they only scolded the two dogs to stop barking and called them inside. As for Cam, they had to call out several times before the poor dog limped back… on three legs.
The owner quickly approached and saw that one of Cam’s front legs had been brutally cut off, with the bone exposed. Everyone in the family was too scared to even look at the scene. Cam was still trying to walk while whimpering in agony. “All I could do was cry and hold Cam tight to calm it down, and then my family gave it first aid. It was not until morning that we were able to call a doctor and found out that the severed leg was lying outside our gate,” a member of the family shared.

The next morning, after receiving first aid and being bandaged up, Cam’s wound was still bleeding heavily. According to people’s guesses, Cam was either targeted for theft but the attempt failed, or someone intentionally harmed the poor dog. Currently, despite being bandaged, Cam is still lying motionless and occasionally jerks and cries out in fear. The family is constantly monitoring the situation and will take appropriate action if Cam’s condition worsens.
The incident was sudden and has shocked Cam’s family and animal lovers, who can only take it as a lesson to be more careful in protecting their pets.
