If Keanu Reeves wasn’t eyeing a lead superhero role before, then he sure is now.
After news broke of Joaquin Phoenix dropping out of Marvel’s Doctor Strange, fans quickly rallied behind Reeves stepping into the comic book hero’s shoes.
The actor, who recently sat down to discuss his latest film John Wick, didn’t shy away from the possibility of taking on the sat down to discuss his latest film John Wick, didn’t shy away from the possibility of taking on the neurosurgeon-turned-sorcerer.
In fact, Reeves was very open and receptive to the idea of leading Marvel’s latest development. “Yeah – you know, I don’t know a lot about Doctor Strange..[but] I like that kind of stuff,” he said. “ I like those movies. I go to those movies. I grew up on those movies. I like acting in those movies. You get to do fun, cool sh** and entertain. I love all that.”
Other names that have been included in the mix are Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hardy and Jared Leto.
