The role of Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe propelled Jason Momoa to instant fame, making him one of the most recognizable actors in Hollywood. However, Momoa’s rise to fame was far from smooth.
The actor had a difficult childhood as the only child of a single parent in Iowa and struggled with dyslexia. Momoa has persevered through many obstacles to realize his dream of becoming an actor, and he is now using his fame for good.

But it wasn’t until Momoa landed the role of Khal Drogo on the smash HBO series Game of Thrones that he became a household name. Momoa’s portrayal of the Dothraki warrior was so well received that it opened doors for him to play Aquaman in the DCEU.
