Adele has tearfully declared that she isn’t ready to move home to the United Kingdom during an emotional appearance on James Corden’s final Carpool Karaoke.
The talk show host’s programme will wrap up after eight years this week, with the final episodes featuring a roster of famous faces.
Back in 2016 the singer, 34, appeared on the segment, with the pair soon becoming close friends.
This time around they spoke more about their friendship, sharing that their families had become particularly close in recent years.
When asked by Adele about what he will miss most about leaving his job James, 44, said that he had ‘underestimated’ how many friends he would make through work.
‘More than anything I’ll miss going into work every day with my friends,’ he said.

He then added he was ‘really going to miss Los Angeles’.
‘I love it here. It’s been a brilliant adventure,’ he explained.
‘But I’m just so certain that it’s time for us as a family, with people getting older and people that we miss, it’s time to go home.’

The pair then became emotional after James thanked the singer for driving him in on his final day.
‘You are one of my best friends in the whole world and I’m going to miss you,’ she replied, as they both started crying.
‘And you are mine. I love you and we have had the best time here,’ he said.

Comforting Adele, James then said that their friendship, and that of their families’ had ‘nothing to do with distance’.
‘I’m just not ready to come back yet, otherwise I would come back with you,’ she said through tears.
