The 27-year-old discusses her latest critically-acclaimed film I, Tonya in her cover interview
MARGOT Robbie looks the perfect beach babe in a stunning new shoot for Elle Magazine.
The Australian beauty, 27, whose performance in new film I, Tonya has generated awards season buzz, went topless on the beach for her cover interview.
Standing with her back to the ocean, Margot covered her boobs with a pink tie-dyed towel and wore matching bottoms.
The actress’s shoulder-length hair was styled in beachy waves and she wore a a subtle amount of make-up.
In her other shots, Margot covered up in quirky tees and jumpers.
I, Tonya sees Margot play disgraced American ice skater Tonya Harding, whose successful career was blighted when she was implicated in a serious attack on her arch rival Nancy Kerrigan.
Speaking about playing a real-life figure, Margot told the mag: “…playing Tonya [Harding], who’s very much alive and is widely documented, can be more intimidating.”
Touching on her directorial ambitions, she said: “I still love acting. But I’ve spent the last 10 years on a film set, and I realised that if I am pouring my heart and soul into a film, I want to be one of those voices in the conversation making decisions.”
Not only is Margot a talented actress but she’s also trying her hand at fire twirling.
She explained: “I recently bought fire-twirling poles, because I really want to get good at it. When I was backpacking in the Philippines, there were heaps of fire twirlers on the beach, and it was so cool. I was like, Wow, I really want to do that!”
Margot recently revealed her family implored her to quit acting and “get a real job”.
She made the comments during an interview for Vogue Magazine where she posed alongside Nicole Kidman.
Margot explained: “My family has no connection to the entertainment industry whatsoever, so when I started acting, everyone was like, ‘That’s fun, but when are you going to actually get a real job?
“And that went on for years….”
Margot, who started off with a role in Australian soap Neighbours, later bagged her breakthrough role in Wolf Of Wall Street alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
Despite this she admitted that her family make sure she’s always grounded.
Margot explained: “They’re impressed for five seconds, and then they’re…’So anyway, the dog threw up today.’”
Nicole, 50, revealed in her interview that she still feels “fortunate” when gets cast.
The multi-award winning actress, who has three Golden Globes to her name, also still suffers from terrible nerves.
Nicole said: “I still feel like I’m the kid at drama school hoping to get a role.
“I always feel like I’m so fortunate and lucky to have the job.
“Part of my job now is to give back and help create opportunities for the next generation – particularly with female directors, because it is so imbalanced.”
