In a recent episode of the podcast, David Choe and Joe Rogan were having a conversation about the Marvel and DC Comics that today’s world prefers. Choe named a few comics which people don’t read which included Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Iron Man. That’s when Rogan revealed that he was a reader of the Iron Man comics and how those comics were popular when he was a child. He also mentions how he has always been a “Marvel Guy” and he wasn’t into DC.

Marvel and DC
He clarified by saying it’s not like he dislikes DC but he has never been a follower of those comic books. Further, Choe gave his take on how Marvel has more buy-in than DC. The conversation then headed toward the differentiation between the two franchises. According to Joe Rogan, he believes DC has a “World War II-like mentality” in terms of its origin stories. But he feels Marvel takes common people and gives them powers, which makes it more relatable to the audience.

Once he gets bitten by a radioactive spider and gains superpowers. Apart from strength and superhuman speed, he also has web shooters through which he can cling to walls. In the podcast episode, Joe Rogan expressed his thoughts on how the webhead could have been a billionaire with this kind of power.
“The web thing is so ridiculous like he invented this sh*t that’s better than anything anyone’s ever figured out ever. Like he could be a f*cking super billionaire just from that web. The idea that we buy into the fact that this f*cking college kid invented this stuff that shoots from his wrists in a never-ending supply allowing him to grab buildings and swing.”
David Choe termed search Spider-Man to be a “genius and the smartest guy” on the planet for inventing web shooters.
