Chris, 29, kept an eye on wife Elsa Pataky and their adorable baby girl as they headed out for lunch together in Santa Monica on Saturday.

Wearing a trademark beanie and casually dressed in a t-shirt and jeans, the Australian star was very much the doting dad as he escorted his daughter and Spanish beauty Elsa, 36, around town.Not long after their family outing, the trio boarded a flight bound for Australia.Looking relaxed and refreshed, they were pictured touching down at Sydney airport before heading out to the shops to pick up a camera – perhaps to capture precious moments with their daughter.

Family is clearly very important to Melbourne-born Chris. Just last month, he took Elsa and India along for a holiday in Costa Rica with his younger brother Liam and fiancée Miley Cyrus. It was a relaxing start to what will be a busy year for the Hemsworth boys.Chris has got two films out in 2013, Rush and Thor: The Dark World, while Liam is starring in a number of new movies, including the second installment of The Hunger Games.
