They are both carving careers in the acting world as two of the industry’s youngest rising stars.
And Tom Holland and Ella Purnell may be a good match, as they reportedly put on a very cosy display at Sunday night’s BAFTAs – sparking rumours of a romance.
According to The Sun, the EE Rising Star winner and the brunette beauty, both 20, were inseparable at the star-studded Weinstein bash after the ceremony – and continuing to party together back at the Dorchester Hotel.
‘He was out for a huge night and was leading her around the dance floor by the hand. He had loads of people around him, even his mum Nicola Frost, and at one point FaceTimed his friends from inside the venue.’
Wanting to spend more time together however, the source went on to claim that Ella later joined the Spiderman actor for further celebration at his hotel.
‘Tom and Ella went back to the Dorchester in separate cars. Tom had a room there and she didn’t.’
MailOnline has contacted representatives of both Tom and Ella for comment.
Tom, who made his acting debut as Billy Elliot on the West End, appeared to find both romantic success on the night as well as in his career – having bagged the EE Rising Star award, as voted for by the public.
Delighted at the public outpouring of support, he said gratefully upon collection of his metal mask at the Royal Albert Hall: ‘Thank you to BAFTA for nominating me, and obviously thank you to the British public for voting and showing your support.
Before joking: ‘It’s tough voting online, believe me, I know.’
He further explained the witty comment at a press conference backstage, during which he revealed he had actually voted for Irish actress Ruth Negga, over himself.
The handsome star has seen a hugely successful year – having played the lead role in the latest superhero flick Spider-man: Homecoming, which is set for release in July.
Having first played the role in the Captain America franchise, Tom is also currently filming the next 2018 installment, entitled Avengers: Infinity War.
Meanwhile Ella’s career also seems to be going from strength to strength, having starred in the Tim Burton blockbuster Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children alongside Eva Green, Chris O’Dowd and Rupert Everett last year.
However Tom’s romance with the Never Let Me Go star may mark a new chapter in his life, after he seemingly split from his long-term girlfriend Elle Lotherington.
The actor and the budding film director often posted sweet snaps together on social media last year, confirming their relationship to fans.
However Tom has not posted about the beauty in almost a year, indicating the romance had fizzled out, and the pair have reportedly unfollowed each other on Instagram.
While Ella’s romantic status is not known, she was most recently linked to her co-star in the Tim Burton flick Asa Butterfield – after she admitted to Schon magazine that her chemistry screen test with the actor had been a ‘breeze’.
