Gomez was wearing a face mask which she slowly lowers so the little girl could get a good look at her.
‘It’s Selena Gomez. The one that you hear the songs of,’ the mother continues.
This hint quickly sparks her daughter’s memory and her jaw drops in awe.
Realizing that her idol is standing just feet away from her, the little girl lets out a loud, excited scream.
Gomez and her pal giggle as the excited young child scurries around the front yard before making a mad dash for the front door.
She then comes back out the front door and lets out another excited scream in the Disney Channel alum’s direction while jumping for joy.
‘She’s my dramatic one,’ remarks to mother. Gomez admits ‘that was me’ as a kid, as well.
The girl races back to the Love You Like A Love Song hitmaker before turning to her mother ask if Gomez ‘is real.’
‘Of course she’s real! Mommy went to school with her. She lived right down the street from me. Mommy grew up with her,’ Gomez’s pal explains.
Gomez then asks the young super fan for a hug and the two share a warm embrace.
The Grammy Award nominee thanks her childhood friend for letting her stop by.

The woman tells Gomez that she’s ‘glad everything’s good with you and went better’ — seemingly referring the star’s battle with depression and anxiety.
‘Trust me, it was real scary at that point because I grew up with you. I knew it. So, to see your go through that was hard,’ she explains.
‘Thank you. I do feel good,’ Gomez replies before bidding one last farewell to her friend and her family.
In Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me, the The Bad Liar singer will offer her fans a raw, emotional glimpse into her struggles with depression, anxiety, and lupus in a vulnerable new documentary that will detail her six-year battle with the illnesses.
