Mother thought that she had imagined her baby saying “I love you,” but it was not until her husband arrived that they could verify the surprise.
One of the things that the parents of their babies look forward to the most is, without a doubt, their first words. This is exactly what happened to Breanna Brensinger and Jake Allen, the parents of little Haisley, who did not expect that at her young age, their little girl could say a few words.
Haisley Rae Allen, now 9 weeks old, is the daughter of Breanna Brensinger, 19, and Jake Allen, 21. Breanna is the one who takes care of the little one most of the time, while Jake goes out to work.
On one of those days when she spent the afternoon with Haisley, her mother claimed to have heard the baby say, ‘I love you’. At first she believed that it was just her imagination, since babies don’t regularly begin to babble until they are 7 or 8 months old.
Then Breanna tried to repeat the action, guessed her baby was imitating her, and said “I love you” again. That was how she confirmed that she was indeed imitating her, and she uttered the phrase again.
So she called Jake to check because she thought it was a joke. This time, they recorded it to see if they had any luck.
“I told her father, who didn’t believe me at first. But I managed to convince him to give it a try, and we finally got it all on video,” says Breanna.
After trying for a few moments, the baby said “I love you” again, which caused the emotion of her parents.
“I couldn’t believe she started talking like that already, and I was as happy as I’ve ever been. We were really excited when we heard her first words, especially those,” said Breanne.
According to her, Haisley is also able to say “Hello” and believes that when she cries, she calls her “mom”, although the latter considers that it may be a coincidence with the sounds.
Being a mother so young is undoubtedly a challenge, but she guarantees that she wouldn’t change it for the world.
“It was unexpected, but it made my life a million times better. I love being a mother so much. I hope we can continue to teach her how to speak and learn new things every day and keep her happy and smiling.”
