Well, it seems like the latest and most unexpected trend started by Jennie has gone global… and it’s to do with bandaids?
Jennie recently went overseas for several schedules, including shows and fashion shows. Before leaving, the idol shared on Weverse that she had suffered an injury and would have to wear a bandaid.
Blink.I’m just letting you guys know first so you guys aren’t shocked. While resting, I was taking care of my health and eating well, and sleeping well, but while exercising, I tripped over my foot and I fell, which resulted in a slight scar on my face. I want to get better so that BLINKs aren’t worried quickly, but it is still healing, so I’ll have to wear a band-aid on my face for a while. Please understand despite me looking 🥺. I know I should show everyone a great show, so I apologize that I’ll be looking like this. I’ll get better soon so, please don’t worry and I’ll see you soon.

While her departure from Korea didn’t show her bandaid, the idol definitely stuck to her word and whether BLACKPINK was performing in Malaysia…

Although it seems odd, considering how good Jennie made the bandaid look, it’s not surprising that it’s quickly become a global phenomenon.
After seeing the idol wearing the plaster, netizens couldn’t believe that TikTok showed an actual trend called the “Jennie band-aid trend.”
On social media, netizens couldn’t get over this new trend as they watched influencers and other fans try their own hand at creating the “Jennie band-aid” look.
Even Korean artist pH-1 couldn’t get enough of the trend, showcasing his admiration for the bandaid on his Instagram.
Of course, it’s not surprising that Jennie continues to be a trendsetter, but considering the nature of the trend, it’s hilarious that the idol’s injury has become a global phenomenon.
