Joanna Lumley, 76, has admitted that making out with Leonardo DiCaprio, 48, fifteen times while playing his mother-in-law in The Wolf of Wall Street was “no fun at all”
Joanna Lumley has admitted that making out with Leonardo DiCaprio wasn’t Absolutely Fabulous, in fact she didn’t enjoy it at all.
The veteran British actress copped off with DiCaprio when she played Emma, the classy aunt of Margot Robbie’s character, in the 2013 movie, The Wolf of Wall Street.
At one point in the movie the 76-year-old sits on a park bench with the younger counterpart, and the pair end up kissing.
Despite the kiss being very out or character compared to the real life antics of DiCaprio, it was Lumley who has spoken out saying it was “no fun at all’.
Speaking at a dinner for the Elizabeth’s Legacy of Hope charity a while back, the Brit said it’s really no fun kissing on film.
“I did kiss Leonardo DiCaprio, about 15 times in fact,” she recalled.
“But I’ll let you into a secret. It’s actually no fun kissing actors, no fun at all. There are so many takes and you both have to chew so much chewing gum.
“It’s like kissing someone in a dentist’s waiting room.”

Despite romance often blossoming when actors are close in movies, it seems highly unlikely in this instance given DiCaprio’s dating pattern over the years
Not only that, but the Absolutely Fabulous star is happily married, while DiCaprio tends to go for women many years his junior – something he’s been called out for in the past.
However the 48-year-old DiCaprio is reportedly “not pleased” with the jokes about his love life after outsiders noted that he seems to prefer women under 25.
A source close to the actor spoke to DailyMail about the Hollywood star and opened up about DiCaprio’s feelings about the long-running joke.
The insider said: “Leo is very single right now and he is not keen on the hype suggesting that he is seeking out these very young women. He his looking for something more mature in the relationship department.”
