After suffering a shoulder injury and missing the draw against Crystal Palace, Darwin Nunez is back on the field. Jurgen Klopp has looked at his form and revealed he is delighted to see the progress Nunez is making.
On Wednesday (1/3/2023), the player from Uruguay entered Liverpool’s starting line-up against Wolves at Anfield and contributed to the Reds’ victory. Nunez was a constant threat and almost gave Liverpool the lead in the second half.
Unfortunately the goal was considered a violation of the Wolves defender and disallowed. Despite failing to score, Nunez played a very important role in Liverpool’s front line.

Suitable To Be A Liverpool Threat
Klopp was impressed by Darwin Nunez’s performance in the duel against Wolves. In Klopp’s eyes, Darwin Nunez is like a diamond in the rough. Nunez could be an even better player and pose a lot of threat to opposing defenses.
“He’s really getting there. Everyone can see Nunez is only a handful and a real threat. The goal that Nunez scored was a super reaction and a super finish,” said Klopp.
“He’s still young, everyone will see him get there, no doubt about it. For us he’s already very important,” said Klopp.
