Jake Paul, a former YouTuber who is now a professional boxer, has sparked a major controversy before facing Tommy Fury on February 26 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
A few days back, he took to Twitter and openly made several cutting remarks on Carl Froch, a former world champion boxer.
He wrote, “Carl Froch mad because I made more in 1 year than he made his whole career. You want the payday. I get it. So let’s do this, fight Anderson Silva @SpiderAnderson on my next card & if you get lucky & beat him, then we can step in the ring & you make your career payday. LMK.”

No doubt, it was a big statement to make against the former super middleweight title holder. But ‘The Problem Child’ is known for taking such digs. This is not the first time. Before this, he has called out several big names from the boxing and MMA world. But little did he expect, it will take such a dramatic turn. Certainly, he wanted to draw attention before his grudge match against the younger Fury brother.
Now, this feud has changed its course with the involvement of a few more names. Another former world champion from Britain Darren Barker has taken an active part. The way the Ohio native responded to Froch did not sit well with him. The 40-year-old got offended and issued a warning.
What did Darren Barker say to Jake Paul?
The former middleweight champion took it as an attack on British pride. He wrote, “You must be sick of living.”
He did not stop there and reminded Paul that Froch is a dangerous fight for Paul. He then stated that Paul wouldn’t survive till the final bell if he faced Barker. In the next tweet, he mentioned, “Tbf I fit the bill, almost 41, been retired 10 years, I’m a blown up middleweight and I’ve got a half decent CV. There’s no way he would hear the final bell… and I’m a much easier fight then Carl.”
In the middle of this ongoing one-sided feud popped up a fan. He wrote, “You suck.”
To which, Barker replied, “Perhaps but I would violently destroy the Conor McGregor wannabe Jake Paul.”
Meanwhile, Froch in an interview with ID Boxing News issued strict orders for his countrymate who is going to face Paul. According to him, Fury has to win this fight at all costs or he is coming for him. He also failed to acknowledge Paul as a boxer.
Where do you think this feud is going? Do you expect after finishing business with Fury, Paul will direct his target toward former British world champions? Let us know in the comments below.
