They say you can’t step into the same river twice. It turns out it’s not! Two sisters proved this by their example – they gave birth to babies on the same day.
It doesn’t seem strange unless you consider that they also gave birth to their older children together.
Jennifer Solis and Mara Megan are sisters and best friends, but they did not plan a simultaneous pregnancy. According to them, everything happened by accident, both times. One of the sisters found out about the pregnancy a little earlier, and the second about 1.5 weeks later.
Mara Meighan and Jennifer Solis, both of Alabama, gave birth at the Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, on the same day at roughly the same time, according to the hospital. At midnight on June 9, Meighan delivered a baby girl named Ana Grace, who weighed in at 8 pounds, 3 ounces, according to the hospital. Solis gave birth just a few hours later to Marco, who weighed in at 7 pounds, 15 ounces.
Today they claim that they are not going to repeat this experiment in the future and do not think about further replenishment yet.
Both mothers feel great and look happy. Children are also healthy and are close to their mothers. Now Jennifer and Mara are real media stars. Journalists ask for interviews and endlessly take pictures with them. This does not bring discomfort to women, on the contrary, they are happy to share such an unusual case that fate has given them twice already. They’re hoping that the births will create a special life-long bond between the newborn cousins.
